Some stuff about me:
I was born in the 1970s. I’ve lived in Illinois, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, New York and Michigan. I heisted my Master in Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. I love swimming, snorkeling, sailing, and all things water. I have five adult children, a beautiful dog, and a loyal wife.
Some ways that I create are: painting, drawing, printmaking, fabric design, poetry, fiction, stand-up, and auditory hallucinations.
I am very fond of Puerto Rico, Cuba and Mexico.
Also, I like wild parrots. I like the domesticated kind, too, but I’m very sad for them and loathe the concept of captivity. Zoos are a cute kind of evil. I don’t like fences, borders, or sovereign states.
I teach high school art and have done occasional gigs as an art history professor. I believe that the days of compulsory education are numbered and the anarchist in me feels fine about this, but another part of me lays awake at night dreading the collapse of a well-worn hegemony posing as a social contract.
